How Big of a Problem is the Legalization of Marijuana?
This is a question that seems to be on everyone’s minds, the problem with legalization of marijuana, especially since it has become a lot more popular in several larger states. Even though it seems like this whole legalization experiment is a success, there are a lot of factors that play into the whole thing, and without a real, critical look at the issue, we could be doing more harm than good to the citizens of our country.
Despite what is often said, marijuana can be incredibly addictive. Like other drugs that are out there, the point is for people to try and get a high. If they are using pot on a regular basis, then they’re going to need more and more of it in order to get the sensation that they may have gotten when they first started using.
Also, because there seem to be only a small handful of various side effects that are related to marijuana, it causes people to become a little bolder when it comes to trying out other drugs. People will go chasing after the next high, and as a result, they may get themselves tangled into drug use and addiction that they’d never even thought about prior to the time that they started using pot.
Marijuana use is, in fact, incredibly dangerous and that causes a problem with legalization of marijuana. Because of that, it’s important that we understand why we shouldn’t even be dealing with the drug in the first place. It’s more important than ever that we have the education about the drug and that we avoid it, just like any other drug. Do you think education and information are going to stop people from using, or do you believe that people are going to use the drug, no matter what they have learned about it?
