To be fair, the label on the tub was correct when it said “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter.” However, it was correct for all the wrong reasons, as it contained not butter, but marijuana-laced margarine.
That was what was found in the refrigerator of Stevie C. Hickey, a woman from New Kensington, Pennsylvania who was allegedly giving the substance to a three girls she was babysitting in her apartment.
The matter was brought to the attention the the police when one of the girls Hickey was babysitting found the tub of the marijuana-margarine in her freezer. She claims that Hickey spread the substance on two slices of toast and gave it to her daughter.
Hickey apparently learned how to make the treat from the Internet, and told the police that she forgot it was in her freezer. She initially claimed that she believed it was “parsley butter” but later confessed to knowing it was marijuana. She currently remains free until her trial date, which is yet unscheduled.
It is important to maintain responsibility of your children’s well-being, and to make sure you know the details of the people who are watching over them.
