What Kinds of Alcohol and Drug Rehab Services Does Cofinity Cover?
Recent changes in healthcare legislation, such as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) have drastically improved the way insurance companies cover and regard substance abuse and mental health issues. - Detoxification and Withdrawal Management – Cofinity Insurance plans typically cover at least part of the medically supervised detox process. Patients may be responsible for little more than their copayment if the process is deemed medically necessary. The detox process offers patients the benefit of expert treatment and management of physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms, and qualified medical intervention in the event of an emergency. Detox programs typically last three to seven days, and can either occur independently or alongside rehab as part of a comprehensive treatment regimen.
